Very professional service! I immediately felt comfortable in my initial consultation with Dr. Balogun. She answered all my questions and thoroughly explained the procedure.

Dr Gowri kularatna has been my Dr and she make sure you don't have any problems before your surgery she ask you questions about your health and take your blood pressure. When done everything will be told to you after your surgery of her finding. Very clean office. Good customer service.

Dr. Mills got me pointed in the right direction, even though I chose not to return to GI Associates for the colonoscopy that she recommended. That choice was primarily due to the fact that GI Associates is located in Waldorf. We were able to find another provider much closer to where we live, to continue my health care journey.

I was pretty leery about having a colonoscopy given that it was my first one. I can tell you Dr. Kularatna and her staff are excellent and put me at ease. I can see now why my doctor recommended her. If you happen to be uneasy about the procedure, remember they play an important role in preventing colon cancer. I had to convince and remind myself of that.

I would like to say that the people working in this office are not only professional but friendly and very helpful. I recently moved out of the area and all my records got packed in a storage unit. I needed to provide medical information on the date of my colonoscopy so I called the office to see if they could help. The young lady I spoke with was very helpful and friendly. I have had to deal with many doctors offices and when they are friendly it makes things a lot more pleasant. Thank you keep up the good work.

Dr Kularatna has been my GI doctor for over a year. I've been VERY happy with her and her bedside manner. Very personable, explains everything out and did a follow up call after my last procedures. I would highly recommend her! I only give praise where praise is due. I'm also the first to complain when I don't like something!

I had a great experience with GI Associates, and particularly with Dr Kularatna. I was overdue for my first colonoscopy by many years. I've been very healthy, so had no Dr to refer me to a GI in Southern MD. Looked online for reviews and decided to call GI Associates. They scheduled me for a preliminary appointment within a couple of days. At the office, everyone was pleasant and helpful, and I didn't have to wait for very long. Dr Kularatna was professional and informative, and I didn't feel rushed. The procedure was scheduled for the next week at the clinic right next door to GI Associates. At the end of my appointment I received a sheet with very clear instructions for the overnight prep for the colonoscopy. I found the inexpensive prep medications (Ducolax and Magnesium Citrate) at the Giant Food in Waldorf. The night before was no fun, but was easier than I had expected and feared. At the clinic, I again didn't have to wait long and everyone was very friendly, pleasant, and professional, especially the nurse that prepped me. I was introduced to the anaesthesiologist, and then Dr Kularatna came in to see how I was feeling and to say that the procedure would start very soon. In just a few moments she set me at ease. When I woke up, I felt fine although groggy. They had already gone over postop care with my son but also provided a postop instruction sheet and gave me the preliminary results of the procedure. I had absolutely no problems at all, no soreness or nausea. I slept at home most of the rest of the day, so I missed a call from the clinic a few hours later asking me to let them know how I felt. I felt cared for as an individual and was well-informed through the whole process.

Several years ago, I had some issues and consulted Dr. K, she said she didn't believe it was a major issue, but due to my age she suggested a colonoscopy. She has a great bedside manner and I am glad she scheduled the colonoscopy because it was needed.

If you have Crohns Disease or Ulcerative Colitis, Harvard Educated Gastroenterologist Dr. Gage is for you. He has a wonder relationship with patients and is very current and educated on the latest therapies and medicines available and his nurses and staff are so kind and attentive. I go to their Fort Washington Office which is only 15 minutes from Alexandria, or 25 from Downtown DC. Free easy parking and right off the main road.
